One of the goals of the 2008 Board was to publish the Club Bylaws on the Club’s web site. In transcribing the latest typed version which was dated slightly after the general membership meeting on July 25, 1990, and incorporating two amendments made in April 1993 (Article V, Section 3) and July 1993 (Article VI, Section 2), we noticed several areas that needed clarification. Thus the Board is proposing the following Bylaw amendments that need to be voted up at the July membership meeting.

Article II, Section 5 "Lapsed membership" currently says:

"A member of the current year who has not renewed membership by December 1
shall pay new member fees."

This Section is inconsistent with Article V, Section 3 that was amended April
1993 that says a member is delinquent after the 3rd Monday in December.

Article II, Section 5 needs to be amended to read:

"A member of the current year who has not renewed membership by the third
(3rd) Monday in December shall pay new member fees."

Article III, Section 7 (g) "Immediate Past President" currently says that the Immediate
Past President will:

"Serve as the AHGC member on the Course Affairs Committee"

This is inconsistent with Article VI, Section 2 - Course Affair Committee - that was amended July 1993, to say that the Immediate Past President will be the Chairperson of the Course Affairs Committee.

However, in actuality, the Course Affairs Committee is chaired by the County representative. Thus we are proposing to revert back to the original wording as follows:

Article VI, Section 2 needs to be amended to read that the Immediate Past
President will:

"Serve as the AHGC member on the Course Affairs Committee" rather than "Serve as the Chairperson of the Course Affairs Committee."
